Buzzzing Hexapuffs Beekeepers Quilt

What have I got myself into!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am making a quilt.......
ok knitting a quilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes knitting!!!!

It is a pattern by the extremely talented Stephanie Dosen (tinyowlknits).
It is called The Beekeepers Quilt
It is a work of art and I am loving making the wee hexapuffs.

This is Stephanie's quilt.....

And here are the hexapuffs I have made so far....

It should take me about a year, Steph's took one year, on and off.

I want to have it done for my daughter, Samantha's 6th birthday in April next year.
There are a bunch of us on http://www.ravelry.com/groups/tiny-owl-knits doing a knit-a-long and we are having a blast!

You can get the pattern here http//www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-beekeepers-quilt

Wool Cabinet

I had to share this with you...
One of my knitting angels Stephanie Dosen (tinyowlknits on Ravelry) (my sister Diane is the other angel)shared pics of her wool stash in her magic attic, drool and sighing followed I can tell you!!!!!!!!
I showed it to my husband and went on & on & on about how gorgeous it all was
Well the next day he came with this...

I screamed at him and hugged him.
I loved it, it was perfect!!!!!!!
Any way after I calmed down we took out the panels in the doors and gave it a good clean.

Added fabric to the doors.....
Moved it to my knitting corner in the living room and this is now my wool stash cabinet...

I love it so and love my darling husband David even more ♥

Last Snow Of The Year

We had a cold blast over the weekend which is likely to be the last one of the season so we decided to go play in the snow for the last time this year. We had a blast and everything was just pristine and gorgeous...

The road was closed up to the top so we had walk part of the way...

Our snow man...

Icicle eating Samantha...

I kept expecting a unicorn or The Snow Queen or some other mythical creature to come out of the bush it just looked magical...

My husband and son think I'm weird when I take photos of trees and bush, but to me it's the beauty of nature. On the way back we passed the cutest thing, had to stop and take photo...
